Issue Position

It's past time for the state of Texas to fully legalize medical and recreational use and sales of Cannabis. The failed war on drugs is costing taxpayers millions of dollars annually. Texans are footing the bill for the large private prison system in our state. Instead we could use the tax revenues of cannabis sales to invest in our public schools and infrastructure. In addition, through reform we must clear the criminal legal records of individuals with low level cannabis related charges.
